Lowe Farms

A 7th generation family farm located 70 km north
of Adelaide and 20 minutes north of Gawler.
​
We’ve been producing premium quality hay for the domestic market at Roseworthy since 1865 when Walter Congdon first purchased the land, which has passed through the matriarchal farming generations of the Congdon and Mackereth families to their descendants and current day custodians. The Pinkerton Plains farm was added in the 1970’s by Trevor and Janet, and with our recent addition of a chaff mill by Darren and Megan Lowe, we now offer high-quality, long-cut chaff to our premium hay, straw and mulch customers.
Except for lucerne, all the chaff, hay and straw we sell is grown on our farm, so we have complete control over the quality of our fodder. We work closely with another innovative, local farm business to produce the prime lucerne we sell in both bales and chaff.
